Sales on Etsy open up unique opportunities for Ukrainian brands: access to a solvent international audience, a significant increase in average check size, and gradual growth in recognition on the global market.
This is the story of a well-known Ukrainian footwear and accessories brand that, after a long hiatus, decided to boost its sales on Etsy. This case study will show how we managed to unlock the store’s potential by increasing its traffic from 90 to 3,000 visits per month and turning it into a stable source of international orders for the Ukrainian brand.

The main task was to “revive” the Etsy store after a long downtime. It was necessary not only to resume sales, but also to completely update the product range, optimize the store for current Etsy algorithms, and prepare it for the new season to ensure a steady flow of orders.

We developed a comprehensive strategy that included a complete store update and product range expansion. After analyzing the market, we saw potential in expanding the product line, specifically by adding bags and, in the future, wallets and cosmetic bags.
The main focus was on optimizing listings, launching an effective advertising campaign, and analyzing data to identify the most popular products.
Work on the Etsy store
To achieve the set goals, our team performed a set of tasks:
- First, we collected and optimized the semantic core for all priority products using the eRank service.
- Every month, we published and optimized 27 to 35 new listings and created duplicates of the most successful items.
- We developed unique descriptions for each product, filling in all sections of the store.
- At the same time, we launched and optimized an advertising campaign on Etsy Ads, increasing the daily budget from $7 to $10, which led to an increase in the number of orders.
To attract additional traffic, we started using Pinterest, publishing 60 pins per month, which resulted in 26 clicks in the second month of operation and 43 in the third.
After analyzing the first sales, we noticed the popularity of one of the bag models and suggested that the client expand the range by adding different colors, which significantly increased sales.
We also set a 25% discount on all products and gradually raised prices to increase the average check.
Finally, for the convenience of customers, we created an infographic with a size chart and instructions on how to correctly measure foot size.

Results of running a store on Etsy
Our comprehensive work has yielded amazing results in a short period of time:
- Traffic: the number of visits to the store has grown from 45-90 to almost 3,000 per month. The overall increase in traffic from January to October 2025 was 5101% compared to the same period last year.
- Customer engagement: The number of saved items (from 154 to 417 per month) and abandoned carts has increased significantly, indicating a rise in audience interest.
